Hello, friends! We thought it was time for an update about our journey!
When we last met with our social worker, Sherri, we had scheduled our next home study for Monday, October 24th. But we found a conflict that evening with an open house at my work, so we asked to reschedule for later that week.
Today I got a text from Sherri, and she offered us next Tuesday, the 18th! We are excited to get our second home study complete, so we can move along to the third and then the final home study required!
We've had a bit of a hold up with our well inspection. We live in the country, and have well water; and unfortunately a small bacteria was found in the water. So we now must take measures to get that issue cleared up. A small bump in the road; we are praying for an easy fix, at hopefully very little cost, so we can move forth!
Kevin will have his physical this Friday morning, our background checks will be completed after that, and then this Monday we will have our home fire inspection from the fire department!
We are required to take a 3 hour class, and there is a class available on the 22nd of October in Clark County, or on the 28th in Mansfield. Pray with us that we can squeeze into the class on the 22nd, it's obviously closer to home for us! We just won't know if there is availability until a day or two prior to that class!
A little at a time we are marking things off the list!
Some pretty awesome friends and family are putting together a bake sale and raffle for us on Sunday, October 23rd, which will take place at the Shoemakers IGA, in South Charleston. We've had so many reach out, willing to donate baked goods! We are overwhelmed with the love and support that has been shown!
A Chili Dinner and Benefit Sing is also in the works! This will be held on Saturday, November 12th at Message of Hope (Rebekah's House), in Springfield. Trying to tie up a few loose ends, and finalize a few pieces, but it is coming together beautifully! We are so looking forward to this evening! It will be great to be around friends and family and allow you all to share in this journey alongside of us!
And if you haven't seen...we are up to $4,350.00 in contributions in just about a week and a half! That's right, $4,350.00!! We are so thankful! We appreciate the love, prayers and support of all of you! We knew God would show up in a mighty way in this situation, but at times I find it hard to wrap my mind around!
Please continue to keep us in your prayers, friends! We will keep you updated as things take place!! We are thankful for you!
Love,
Kevin & Amber
